When you have dinner at a restaurant you are not familiar with, you may not know what to order. When this happens, you can ask the waiter what is the house specialty. In this online mandarin lesson, you will also learn to express wishes and requests.

Ni hao!!!!
When Mike in the dialogue asks: "Wǒ yào hē yì píng píjiǔ, Wáng Lì, nǐ ne?"
I expected Wang Li to answer "Wǒ yě yào"
Why does he answer "Wǒ yě shì"?
Would "Wǒ yě yào" be a correct way to answer too??
XIE XIE!!

"Wǒ yě yào." is also a correct answer. And you can also say"Wǒ yě yào hē."

Hi bashodasahn,
May I know where you were located when you watched the video? Is it streaming slowly? Does it currently work? Let me know if you still have questions or need any help.

We have started working on this issue and now the videos seem to work well from what we can see. Is it working smoothly on your end yet?

Would it be grammatically incorrect to ask "Nin xiang he shenme?" instead of "Nin xiang he dian shenme?"

I'm confused about the purpose of the word 点儿 in the example sentences.

Hi elevator,
These two sentences are correct and mean the same thing, “what would you like to drink?" The word “点儿” does not add a different meaning, but is a way to sound more polite.

I have an unstable internet connection.
The course stuck while trying to load in the middle.
Maybe you can report it to be fixed?
Thank you.
