Please confirm that in Lesson 1 Vocabulary section "xiawu" is erronously translated as "morning" instead "afternoon".
Also, shangwu" is translated as "aftenoon" not "morning".

Andy,
Thanks for the suggestions. I checked the vocabulary section, and I found that both translations are correct. Let me know if you see anything different.

Helen Zhang (Chinese Teacher) in reply to 478
Hi 478,
"Bā diǎn sān kè" means 08:45.
1 kè equals to a quarter or 15 minutes. So "sān kè" means 3 quarters or 45 minutes.

why are we calling a dude "xiao Wang"? isn't a dude called "xiansheng"?
February 16, 2012 Reply
Helen Zhang (Chinese Teacher) in reply to pinyinLVR
Hi pinyinLVR,
Thank you for your good question.
In Chinese, we can call a young man surnamed "Wáng" as "xiǎo Wáng." And "xiānsheng" is more formal, which means sir or Mr..
